The piece

This painting was created during a period of deep emotional processing and physical recovery.

The horse bursts forward in mid-gallop, cropped intentionally to emphasize motion over form. The black background holds the color — allowing the rainbow spectrum to surge forward without distraction.

The drips throughout the canvas are a defining element of my work. They originated during the months I was bedridden with lupus, moments when painting became the only way to release emotion that had nowhere else to go. These drips are not random. They are evidence of survival.

The abstract fragments, when viewed up close, feel chaotic. From a distance, they resolve into clarity, a reflection of how healing actually unfolds.
